President and Owner

Hameed (Heru) S. Williams is human systems consultant, learning community development expert, and professional artist. During the last 12 years, Heru has worked in the private and public sectors and the not-for profit community. Heru has held board memberships on various corporate and non-profit boards and has started three companies. These professional experiences have afforded Heru a holistic understanding of the various work environments that people now find themselves.

Heru's work has included group dynamics training, strategic planning, curriculum design and implementation, diversity/plurality education, and popular education. He uses techniques from the theatrical world to create profound, creative, and fun experiences for the participants. Participants are often encouraged to participate in role-plays, exploratory games, and active modeling of problems and situations.

Heru also utilizes body-mind techniques from the Chinese disciplines of Tai Chi Chuan and Chi Chung and Indian disciplines of Yoga and Pranayama (breathing techniques) in his work. Through the application of these techniques, Heru helps participants become better aware of what they physically feel in situations as well as what they think. This provides a more complete understanding of the problems and issues that people face. In addition, participants are encouraged to use these techniques to increase their personal power and maintain their personal health.

Heru holds two bachelor degrees in political science and psychology from the University of Southern California and a Master of Education degree with specialization in conflict resolution and learning community development from Lesley University and has received training in theatre from New York University, mediation from the Lesbian and Gay Community Services Center in New York, and body-mind health from the Khametic Tai Chi and Yoga Society of New York.

He is currently a Ph.D student at the Fielding Graduate Institute in the School of Human and Organizational Development.
